Hymn Workshop with Dr. Aaron Tan
Join the Greater Huntsville Chapter of the AGO for a Hymn Workshop with Dr. Aaron Tan on Thursday, April 24 at 10:00 AM at Church of the Nativity in Huntsville.
This hybrid session opens with a lecture on the fundamentals of hymn playing — tempo, timing, and registration — then moves into a master class, where volunteers play a hymn from their most recent Sunday service and receive live coaching from Dr. Tan.
Whether you're sharpening the basics or want real-time feedback on your playing, there's something here for organists and pianists at every stage. If you'd like to take part in the master class, bring a hymn you played this past Sunday.
Admission is free for AGO members; $10 for non-members.
