
About Us
The Greater Huntsville Chapter of the American Guild of Organists (AGO) is a regional chapter of the national AGO, serving organists, church musicians, and enthusiasts in the Huntsville, Alabama, area. Its mission is to promote the organ as an instrument, support excellence in organ and choral music, and provide education, networking, and professional development for members. The chapter organizes recitals, workshops, educational events, and community outreach, fostering collaboration among local musicians and inspiring appreciation for the organ’s role in worship and concert settings.

Esther Kim, Dean
Esther Kim has been serving as the Associate Minister of Music and Organist at First Baptist Church, Huntsville since 2017. A Korean native, she received her BA and MA in piano performance in her home country. She then earned her DMA in organ performance with a perfomer’s certificate from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary,KY. She has also studied contemporary writing and production at Berklee College of Music, MA. She is devoted to lyrical hymn-playing and strives to convey the meaning of the text through her music. Her publications show her sensitive interpretation of the text.

Anne Vasile, Secretary
Anne Vasile serves as the Director of Sacred Music and Liturgy at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Huntsville. A native of Pensacola, Florida, she studied organ performance and sacred music at Birmingham-Southern College and historical musicology at Florida State University, and her interests include French Baroque organ performance practice and hymnology.
